Acer will sell its Predator Atlas 8 Windows gaming handheld in the United States starting Nov. 1, The Verge reported, with the Intel Arc G3 Extreme model priced at $1,299.99 and exclusive to Best Buy1.

Jess Weatherbed wrote that Acer unveiled the Atlas 8 several months earlier and announced two models in May, and that only the more powerful Arc G3 Extreme variant has a U.S. price and date in this report1.

The Verge said the device uses Arc B390 graphics with 12 Xe3 GPU cores and 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM, an 8-inch 120Hz display, dual-mode triggers, TMR joysticks, and support for handheld or docked use1.

It runs Windows 11 and can be used with Xbox Game Pass, the outlet reported1.

The Verge said Acer has announced several Predator and Nitro handhelds, but this is the first with an official U.S. launch, matching the $1,300 starting price it cited for the Xbox Ally X201.

Best Buy preorders that launched last week were already sold out, The Verge reported, and Acer said online orders will open again on Nov. 1 with in-store availability1.
