Navajo County Emergency Management, through Ready Navajo County, issued an IPAWS Extreme evacuation for Ames/Bushman Acres in Navajo County, Arizona, at 11:22 UTC Monday1.

The Integrated Public Alert and Warning System record listed event code EVI (Evacuation Immediate), Immediate urgency and Observed certainty, and an expiration of 12:22 UTC Monday1. The wireless text said Little Colorado River levels were rising, that potential for flood was occurring, and that people should get family, pets and livestock to higher ground1.

A Gray News report carried by Alaska's News Source described Sunday flood evacuations and water rescues in other Arizona communities, including Sedona along Oak Creek, and quoted Gov. Katie Hobbs as saying state air rescue crews were assisting rooftop evacuations. That account did not name Ames/Bushman Acres or the Little Colorado River. The Ames/Bushman alert did not list mapped streets, river gauges or a named shelter1.
